I’ve been lucky enough to work on some pretty cool brands. But Mack Trucks takes the cake. After briefly retiring the iconic bulldog from their communications, Mack tasked us with developing a brand campaign centered around the trucks themselves. I think we pulled it off! Since their inception last January, BORN STRONGER has been trying to find a sense of identity in the crowded MMA gear marketplace. It seems they’ve finally found it! Check out their new Web site that I helped create. I did a lot of writing and content management for BORN STRONGER and can’t wait to work with them again.

Working with client’s such as GGB Plain Bearings, I’m constantly being told engineers only respond to boring long-copy ads with tons of technical info. (Luckily, GGB knows better.) How many people get to work on an account as cool as Crayola? Not many! At swb&r we handled all communications directed at art and classroom teachers in the US. What you see below is an ad for Crayola’s Beginnings product line as well as a some work I did for Crayola’s line of paints. The ads performed very well and the giant paintbrush you see in the paint ad was turned into a giant 3D sculpture for trade shows and art exhibits!

Value Man Life-Sized POP
Last year National Penn came to swb&r and asked us to develop a campaign for their ValuePlus Checking account. This account is their premier checking account and features ID theft protection, complimentary companion airfare tickets, interest rate discounts and more. In short, it gives you super powered financial abilities.
We created the ValueMan character to tell consumers about these benefits. We also created ads, radio spots, posters, envelope stickers and merchandising kits for the bank’s branches. We even developed a comic/coloring book to give kids who pull into the drive-through lane with their parents. In just eight months, this campaign exceeded National Penn’s sales goals by 224%!

In this day and age, it’s very hard to save money. (As if I have to tell you!) However, we told consumers it’s easier to save than they think! We developed “Everyday Savings Tips” that people could use to build their Straight2Savings accounts. The campaign was distributed via traditional print ads and radio. We also created stickers to place on withdrawal envelopes, counter cards and more.

Last January I was contacted to do a few quick writing jobs for an up-and-coming company that made MMA gear. Before I knew it, I was writing their blog, creating/maintaining their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace pages and developing their Web site. It was great learning experience. In the one year I worked with BORN STRONGER I helped build an integrated social media campaign from the ground up and engaged in thousands of conversations with rabid MMA fans all over the world. I also managed to earn a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!

Coordinated Health came to swb&r a few years ago in need of a revamped Web site. There old one was extremely old fashioned, poorly organized and just an all around mess. I helped create, write and organize a new CMS site that the folks at Coordinated Health could edit and update themselves without having to come back to us every time a new job was posted or new doctor came on board. I think it came out pretty good. Take a look for yourself.

When National Penn bought Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust (KNBT), they needed a brand campaign to tell the people of the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern, PA how they go beyond the expected for their customers. I’m pretty proud of this campaign and even prouder of the relationship we’ve managed to build with National Penn over the years. They’re truly a great client to work with!
